Privacy Policy

GameSetPickle, LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "Vallio") operates the Vallio consumer mobile apps (iOS & Android), the Vallio enterprise platform (web, iOS, Android), companion watch apps (Apple Watch, Wear OS, and future Garmin), and scoreboard apps (Apple TV, Roku, etc.).

This Privacy Policy applies to all of these platforms (collectively, the "Vallio Services").

We are based in the United States and currently offer Vallio in the United States, Canada, the European Union and EEA countries, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

Information We Collect

We only collect information when you actively use the Vallio Services. We do not track your activity outside of Vallio (no cross-site tracking, no monitoring of other apps or websites you visit).

  • Account information (name, email, phone, profile photo, skill level, etc.)

  • Location data (with permission) for court maps and nearby games

  • Game data (scores, play-by-play, ratings, queue positions)

  • Private messages and user-generated content

  • Device and usage data while inside Vallio (Device type, crash logs, analytics via Firebase/Google Analytics)

  • Payment information (processed via Stripe or PayPal – we never store full card numbers)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Vallio Services (find courts, manage queues, track scores, send notifications, display ratings, enable messaging, etc.)

  • Personalize your experience (e.g., show nearby courts, suggest games at your skill level)

  • Communicate with you (game invites, queue alerts, important updates)

  • Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, harassment, or abuse

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information to create or personalize daily/weekly challenges (that feature uses anonymized or aggregated data only).

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties for their own marketing.

We share data only in these limited cases:

  • With venue partners (courts, clubs, facilities) who use the Vallio enterprise platform: we share relevant game and player data (e.g., who showed up, queue history, ratings, and anonymized or aggregated attendance trends) so they can manage courts, staffing, and events. This is a core part of the B2B service you and the venue both benefit from.

  • With trusted service providers who work on our behalf (Firebase/Google Cloud, Stripe, analytics tools, etc.) under strict confidentiality agreements

  • With other Vallio users when you choose to make something visible (your public profile, ratings, messages you send, games you join)

  • For legal reasons (court order, law enforcement, safety, or to protect our rights)

  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your data would transfer to the new owner)

Internal Data Transfers

We store and process data primarily in the United States. When you are in Canada, the EU/EEA, UK, Australia, or New Zealand, we protect your data using:

  • EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

  • UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum where applicable

  • Binding corporate rules and other approved mechanisms

Your Rights and Choices (by region)

Everyone

  • Access, correct, or delete your account anytime in the app or by emailing support@vallio.app

  • Turn off location permissions, push notifications, or analytics in device/app settings

  • Opt out of marketing emails with one click

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to know what data we collect and share

  • Right to delete

  • Right to opt out of “sales” (we do not sell data)

  • Right to non-discrimination

Canada residents (PIPEDA and provincial laws)

  • You have the same access, correction, and deletion rights

EU/EEA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand residents

You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Rectify inaccurate data

  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Data portability

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Contact us at support@vallio.app or use our in-app tools to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days (or the timeframe required by your local law).

Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Inactive accounts are deleted or anonymized after 24 months.

Security

We use industry-standard protections (TLS encryption, AES-256 at rest, regular security audits). However, no method is 100% secure.

Children

Vallio is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in certain countries). We do not knowingly collect data from children under these ages.

Changes to This Policy

We’ll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance (unless the change is required immediately by law).
